Was disappointed. Buffet good was cold and ran out of several items. Omelette chef walked out and left people hanging. Waitress did everything possible to make it right. Check out with credit cards was extremely slow. Was better a year ago. Not sure will go back
I do not normally write reviews. However, this is just about the worst RV park we stayed at on our cross country vacation. I was going to stay for a month, but when we arrived, the spot they assigned us was taken by a trailer that was in storage and had been there for some time. After an hour we finally found a spot. The next morning we decided to get the heck out of there. The place is frustrating because you know at one time it was a very impressive RV park. No more though, place is very dirty and straight up scary. The planes flying over head just adds to the misery.
Price is low for long term but not a good value imo. Because of location and old Florida charm the management could have a gold mine here, but unfortunately they don't want to spend or can't afford the $ to make this a real resort. Accept that you will probably lose water at least 4 times for greater than 6 hours in a 3- month period (park water system). I understand that electricity has been upgraded recently but accept that you will lose power for up to 8-hours at least 3-times in that same period (not-hurricane or storm related). There is no Internet, unless you get DSL service max 5Mb/s download, 500Kb/s upload. Cell service is fair to poor. While someone might tell you that the site will fit your rig (ours 44' long with 65' combined vehicle), because of old growth it's tough to even get your rig down the back roads and because of trees or curbing you just can't get in most sites. Long rigs need to be on the main road or center pull throughs or it will be tough/impossible.
We live here in our MOTORHOME AND I love just being out in Nature
We stayed here 15 years ago when it was east lake The Park is about the same its quite, and peaceful now The biggest change is the management and the way the park it run Its maintenance rates a 2 on the scale 1-10 management does not fix anything other than the landscaping The store and restaurant has went down hill on a scale of 1-10 a 2 use to the restaurant was full on weekends holidays now its empty. Employees come and go complaints are tremendous the customer service sucks along with the management these people should be fired!!! without question. some complaints include service, bathrooms, cabins, the food, the store, no service such as propane etc on weekends. street lights have must be out maintenance of the pool area, water pressure electricity on several lots does not work etc the complaints go on Please be repaired if your planning to visit you will have no service, other than taking your money a unhappy staff and residence So Beware!!! Owners Please find some different management
