I used to own my own flooring installation business. I took my old vechile for a trade in on a newer used vechile. I gave them my life savings plus my old vechile. Everything seemed legit and signed all the proper paperwork so I thought. I also paid for the transfer of my old tag to the newer vechile. The owner said within two weeks the transfer of my old tag would be complete and to come back up to the dealership and pick it up. After two weeks he said there was a problem and to give him another two weeks. Another two weeks there was another problem so he wrote me another temp tag. BIG MISTAKE!!! RED FLAG!!! When the 2nd temp tag became out of date he placed a repo of the truck in order to keep me from driving. Come to find out from dmv and various investagators he owes the goverment, dmv, and the repo company for unpaid monies. The owner of the car lot never had any intention of transferring my old tag or couldn't transfer it. Because of this the only way I can get my truck back is to pay the remander of monies owed on the truck and receive the title and transfer my old tag myself.
