My husband and I have stayed here twice in the last few years. We like it because the hotel is close to Disney but isn't as expensive as the hotels on the property. They offer shuttles to Disney and Universal for free, but it's a quick drive to Disney property if you opt to do that instead. There are two good sized pools on site and the rooms are clean and are cleaned daily. There's several good places to eat within a few minutes drive, too. I can't quite give it 5 stars because some areas of the resort do need a little paint and updating, but we will definitely return in the future.
Definitely not somewhere I would stay again. First off to everyone, if you are storing food in the fridge be sure to turn it on. The cafe in the lobby had great food that is served late, the cheesecake is delicious. The lobby is beautiful and it goes down hill from there. The hallways smell like moth balls. The bedding was clean but the rest of the room was filthy. There was mold and hair in the sink when we first got there, scribbles of ink pen all over the furniture, stains all over the floor, I wouldn't even walk around without my shoes on. The pool area is beautiful but the area was too crowded for us to spend much time there.
Last point, if you're placed in building 6000 ask for a top floor. They play music by the pool and we heard the music ALL NIGHT.
Clean comfortable rooms. Great view overlooking pools. Lots of useful amenities. Beautiful water features and walkways throughout. Outdoor areas desperately need pressure washing. Pool furniture was moldy and broken. Would stay again when the outdoor areas are cleaned up.
my husband and I were just in Orlando for a conference and were originally placed in the 5000 building. It needs some updates! But the kicker was there were hairs on chairs and on the sheets on the bed, little bugs in the bed, ants all throughout the room, and the bathroom had some nasty goop still on the counters in the bathroom. This was all after we booked a king size room and was given two doubles. They were struggling. They ended up eventually getting us into another room but it took 4 hours. If you have reservations I would recommend asking for the 6000 building since it appears to be a little nicer. Both buildings have some updates, but the remodel work looks unfinished and caulk in shower rusty.
The rooms are excellent. Staff are very nice. Very big and spread out hotel. Beautiful views from rooms. And outstanding pool area. Large convention halls as well. I had a very nice stay.
